Grace, Not Hustle

The Warning Signs We Often Miss

There’s a quiet heaviness that can settle in without us even noticing.
Not always loud. Not always urgent. Just… a constant hum beneath the surface.

We don’t mean to fall into hustle.
It starts innocently enough—I’ll take care of myself later.
But later always brings something else.

The dog needs a last-minute vet visit.
Your toddler’s covered in marker.
Jimmy forgot his lunch—again.
Dinner’s still a question mark.
The laundry needs to be rewashed for the third time.
And someone’s crying over the wrong-colored spoon.

So you push yourself—one more thing, one more hour—telling yourself you’ll rest when everything is handled.
But somehow, everything is never quite done.

Until your body says enough.
You get sick. Or snappy. Or numb.
And you wonder how you got here—again.

But the truth is, this happens slowly. Quietly. Almost by accident.
And the answer isn’t more effort.
It’s more grace.

Hustle Is Loud. Grace Is Steady.

Hustle culture tells us to keep going.
To measure our value by how productive we are, how tidy our homes look, how well we’re holding it all together.

But motherhood isn’t a checklist.
And you aren’t a machine.

Grace whispers what we forget in the noise:
That your worth doesn’t hinge on your output.
That rest is not a reward—it’s a right.
That softness is strength.

Grace lets you return to yourself before the breakdown.
Before the burnout.
Before you forget that you matter, too.

What Choosing Grace Might Look Like

This doesn’t mean you abandon your life.
It means you meet it differently.

  • One deep breath before responding to your child
  • Letting the dishes wait just a little longer
  • Saying “good enough” and meaning it
  • Lying on your yoga mat for five minutes and calling it movement
  • Drinking your coffee while it’s still warm
  • Reaching for a moment of peace without needing to “earn” it

You don’t have to overhaul your life.
Just return to it—with grace.

Let This Be Your Gentle Invitation

If your heart’s been whispering that something needs to change, you’re not imagining it.

You’re not broken. You’re not weak. You’re simply depleted—and craving something more honest, more nourishing.

That’s why I created the Heart-Led Handbook and the Rooted Beginnings Yoga Workshop.
Not to fix you.
But to remind you who you are beneath the pressure.

You’re allowed to show up differently.
And you’re allowed to start today—with one soft, steady breath.

Cozy journaling setup with coffee and flowers – setting intentions for motherhood and mindful living
By Victoria Moreau January 1, 2025
Let’s talk about your intentions for the New Year. Not the ones you wrote in a planner or bought a course for. I mean the deep ones. The ones your body aches for when you’re standing in a messy kitchen, unsure if it’s Tuesday or Thursday. The ones that whisper: I just want to feel like myself again. I want more presence, more peace. I don’t want to keep spiraling through survival mode. If you’ve set intentions that felt beautiful and aligned, but they’ve fizzled out just weeks (or even days) later—this isn’t your fault. Most moms are missing one key ingredient. And without it? Even the most heartfelt intention doesn’t stand a chance. Intention without rhythm is like a seed with no soil. It might be meaningful, but it has nowhere to take root. We often try to set intentions from a place of willpower. We say, “This year I’ll meditate. I’ll stretch. I’ll slow down. I’ll be more patient.” But then… The baby stops sleeping. The laundry piles up. You forget to eat lunch again. Life pulls you off course. Rhythm is what brings you back. It’s the gentle container that holds your intention when life gets loud. It’s not about strict routines—it’s about having anchors throughout your day that support the woman you’re becoming. What If We Let Growth Be Gentle? Let 2025 be the year we stop hustling for transformation. Let it be the year we notice instead. Notice what we’re drawn to. Notice where we feel most like ourselves. Notice when our bodies whisper “enough.” Here are three ways I’m practicing that kind of noticing—maybe they’ll help you, too:
